La Curie is an Arizona-based indie brand that is Inspired by “mythology and sacred ground” that offers EDPs and perfume oils. Number Three perfume oil is described as “The rites of spring in a forbidden garden”. For me, it’s figs and hillside evergreens in late summer.
Number Three is a “clean” fig, like a green fig with cool mountain air. It’s a bitter, green fig with evergreens and a white musk. There’s a sharp citrus that reminds me of grapefruit peel. Number Three wears as crisp, clean floral with bitter greens and fig for most of the wear.
I’m a fig fan, so I had to try this one first from the brand. I like it because it’s a cooler fig, not warm and creamy. It’s fresh air and fig leaves.
Notes listed include Mediterranean fig, cypress and clementine. PERFUMER – Lesli Wood
Give Three a try if you like fig fragrances. Or Joya Composition No. 6, Marc Jacobs Fig Splash, CB I Hate Perfume Revelation, Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Vetiver and/or Caron Yuzu Man. Number Three is unisex.
This a perfume oil so projection and longevity are below average.
The 1/3 oz perfume oil retails for $38 at La Curie. Samples are also available for purchase.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Clean fig. A fresh, green scent. I’m a fig fan, so I like it.
