One of the good things about moving to New Jersey, is that it’s one of the states that has Kiko Milano stores. Kiko Milano is an Italian cosmetics known for their wide range of colors and textures all with a rather affordable price tag (in comparison to other department store brands). Living so close to a mall with one of these shops is really testing my willpower!
Kiko Milano has launched eleven shades in their Intense Colour Eye Pencil range. These are long-wearing pencil eyeliners. One end is the pencil and the other end has a soft sponge for smudging.
The claims – “Intense, long-wearing outer eye pencil that glides on smoothly. The pencil delivers an astounding performance with a melting texture that resembles a liquid eyeliner. The special, water-resistant formula stays on for up to 10 hours* and is blendable immediately after application.” – Made in Germany.
Actually, I really liked all of the colors offered so it was difficult to narrow it down. I ended up buying:

05 Metallic Violet
Lately, I’ve been attracted to colors just like this. It’s a dark, smoky purple with warm undertones and subtle shimmer.
I’ve been wearing it as a base for smoky plum eyeshadows. I apply it and smudge it on the top and bottom lashline. I’m really pleased with it. I like how these sort of colors look with my light eyes.
11 Metallic Blue Teal
This color is like a shimmery peacock teal with fine teal shimmer. It’s so vivid and rich, like velvet. It’s gorgeous. I don’t usually wear shades like this but I’m happy I picked it up. I do think it would look better on someone with darker eyes than mine. But, I like it. I just need to figure out how to use it. I think I should try pairing it with golds and bronzes. I went “cool” for the look below.
The formula – This formula is so smooth. It glides on so easily, no tugging or pulling. As far as a “gel” pencil liner, this has been one of the best that I’ve used. It is long-wearing; yet, it’s workable. I have some time to smudge it before it “sets”. I haven’t timed how long it lasts, but it does last longer than the average pencil liner. I’ve even been stuck in a thunderstorm without an umbrella wearing 11 and it did not smear everywhere. Note that I have dry eyelids and didn’t use these on the waterline. I’m sure results will vary.
Overall, I’m very pleased with these. I plan on picking up a few more shades. I seriously like this formula much better than Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil (which used to be my favorite!). These are also easy to sharpen with NARS sharpener.
