Kelly & Jones #1 Sauvignon Blanc EDP Perfume Review

Kelly & Jones Sauvignon Blanc perfume

Kelly & Jones Notes of Wine Collection is a collection of niche perfume inspired by wine. Like the wine, Sauvignon Blanc, Kelly & Jones #1 Sauvignon Blanc is crisp, light, and fruity.

I’m not a white wine person and I rarely drink Sauvignon Blanc, but on a hot summer day, this crisp and fruity stuff is almost perfect. This is how I see this fragrance. I typically don’t like fruity perfumes, but this perfume hits the spot on a hot day.

#1 Sauvignon Blanc opens with tart Granny Smith apple…a realistic sour apple. The scent is crisp and when I smell this I can hear the sound of biting into an apple. The scent also has bitter citrus and grapefruit peel. With time it gets greener and grassier. The scent is crisp, fresh, and fruity. It has a sheerness to it that makes it wonderful for warmer weather. This perfume seems to be inspired by the Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.

This is one of those fragrances that I thought I wouldn’t like from the note list. Grapefruit usually turns on me and I’ve never liked green apple in perfume. Friends – this is why we try everything. You never know what you like. Don’t allow yourself to get stuck in your ways.

Granny Smith apple

Inspired by Sauvignon Blanc with notes of yuzu, grapefruit, starfruit, green apple and cameilia.

I think that #1 Sauvignon Blanc is a great perfume for summer. Try it if you like fruity scents or if you like perfumes like Malle Outrageous, Fresh Hesperides, Hermès Un Jardin Sur le Toit, DKNY Be Delicious, and/or CK One Summer. The feel of this fragrance is very casual. It’s a light fragrance that would be good for day wear or for summer wear. The fruitiness and sheerness also makes it a tasteful choice for a younger crowd.

#1 Sauvignon Blanc has average projetion and below average longevity in my opinion. It wears more like an EDT.

The 1.7 oz bottle of #1 Sauvignon Blanc retails for $84 at Kelly & Jones. A smaller roller ball is also available.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONSour apple with some citrus. It’s sheer and fruity and a good one for warmer climates. I do like this one but I know it’s something that I’d rarely wear…just like Sauvignon Blanc is something that I rarely drink.
