Juliette Has A Gun Miss Charming EDP Perfume Review

Juliette Has A Gun Miss Charming Perfume Review

Juliette Has A Gun Miss Charming is a sheer fruity-floral perfume. Juliette Has A Gun has followed in the footsteps of so many other perfume houses by taking a juice and adding “Miss” to the name so that it comes across as sassier. However, it doesn’t come across as brash or as spoiled rotten as Miss Dior Chèrie or Miss Boucheron or Miss Whatever. But, it doesn’t come across as interesting either. Some sassiness would of done this fragrance some good! Miss Charming reminds me of many mainstream top sellers like Stella and Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, except tamer.

Miss Charming opens up as red roses. And nothing else. This rose is naturally fruity with a lemon zing. With some time the rose mixes with a lychee martini and I’m left with a rosey fruity-floral on my skin. Miss Charming is a mix of rose, lychee, and skin-clinging musk (that I detect in every fruity-floral ever).

Miss Charming is only OK in my opinion. It’s much better than other “Miss” fragrances becuase the rose is high quality and gives a feeling of sophistication. However, Miss Charming is very simple to the point of boredom. There are many fruity roses on the market and many retail for less than Miss Charming. And some are even more interesting. Miss Charming reminds me of a paler Stella or Bvlgari Essentielle Rose. After wearing Miss Charming a few times, I conclude that I like my roses bigger and louder and more Ms. or Mr. than Miss Charming. But, I understand that some people like a light, dainty fruity-rose and that’s OK with me.

Notes listed include Moroccan rose, musks, and wild fruits.

Give Miss Charming a try if you like fruity rose perfumes, “light” rose perfumes, or perfumes like Mistral Lychee Rose, StellaNude, Creed Spring Flower, Dolce & Gabbana Rose The One, Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, and/or Lanvin Rumeur 2 Rose. Miss Charming wears lightly and easily works for warmer weather. It isn’t cloying at all. Miss Charming is perfume that one would wear with a seersucker dress. It doesn’t really look bratty and you wouldn’t know if it was because it never opens its mouth. It’s a harmless fragrance really. Miss Charming may be a “Miss” but she is not bratty like her other “Miss” perfume peers.

Juliette Has A Gun Miss Charming retails for $80 for the 1.7 oz. and $110 for the 3.4 oz. and is available at Beautyhabit. Samples are also available for purchase. Sometimes it can also be found at discounters like FragranceX.com.

    1. It isn’t bad at all, but not me. Maybe one day I will crave this sort of thing and remember that I have a sample!
I haven’t purchased yet…it’s close to my birthday. Figured it is something easy for the hubs to pick up 🙂

  1. I don’t know if I like fruity roses or not. From your description, it doesn’t seem like it would be bad. And I like the picture of Audrey Hepburn!

    1. This one isn’t bad. I have to be picky. I can’t fall in love with every $100+ perfume that I sniff 😉 And like, Dee, I’ve had such great luck with this line that I needed one to not lust over.
Audrey is darling in this photo.
