When life hands you lemons…you make a niche perfume. Or at least that is what i Profumi di Firenze did.
If you want a fragrance that smells exactly like Lemonheads, here you go. I don’t mean this in a negative way. Hey, even Lemonheads have real lemon juice in them! Limone di Sicilia smells sour but a little sweet just like lemon candies. However, with time Limone di Sicilia intensifies and really does remind me EXACTLY of lemon peel. And, well, that’s it. No flowers. No other fruits. No woods. Just lemon and lemon.
So, you can imagine that this one doesn’t last very long. Lemon is volatile. I’ve had lemon oil from the peel stick to my fingers after juicing last longer than this. But, it’s a lemon perfume. This comes with the territory.
Notes listed include lemon peel and bergamot.
Give Limone di Sicilia a try if you are a lemon-head and you really want to smell just like lemons. Or if you like uplifting citrus scents like Pacifica Malibu Lemon Blossom solid perfume, Fresh Sugar Lemon, Moschino Cheap & Chic Hippy Fizz, Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien, Lostmarc’h Din Dan and/or CdG Lemon.
A 1.7 oz spray retails for $99 and can be purchased at Beautyhabit. Samples are also available for purchase.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Lemon peel. That is it. If that is your thing, try it. I’d rather rub a lemon peel on my pulse points. That’s way cheaper than $99. But, hey, you can do whatever you like with your money.
I do have a bit of a lemon obsession, I even use to bleach my nails nice and white.. And it makes my hands smell nice. I like i Profumi di Firenze – Ambra del Nepal, not sure about a purely lemon perfume…
I really thought I’d hate this fragrance, but it isn’t bad. It smells like lemon and not in a “cheap” way. I personally, find it a bit dull. Imagine what they could do with such a lemon! 😉 But, it’s worth trying, most things are.
I haven’t tried Ambra del Nepal and now I should. Maybe I can report back with a comparison.
I like the smell of lemons but I don’t know if I want to smell only like lemons. I would rather have a lemon chiffon pie!
That would be good!
I’m wearing Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien today, I hadn’t realised how citrusy this is. It seems quite linear and i’m not sure about it yet. Ambra del Nepal is on my favourites list I group it with L’Air du desert Marocain and Ambre Sultan. These tend to be my go-to scents.
Eau d’Hardrien is linear and mostly citrus on me, but I think it is well done. It’s like food, sometimes the more simple, the better. It’s about the ingredients 😉
you should try eau de guerlain …the most authentic lemon smell
Eau de Guerlain is my favorite lemon 🙂
