Gabriel’s Aunt candles are hand-made in Seattle in small batches. This line uses 100% natural, soy-based candles scented with natural botanicals.
I recently bought Biscotti at Sweet Anthem‘s Valentine’s Tea. I had Chocolate Bar, a rich chocolate scent, in my hand but fellow blogger, Monica of Rocaille Writes, talked me into Biscotti. I’m happy she did but I don’t know why I didn’t buy both! 😉
Biscotti smells absolutely delicious. It’s a tart almond with zesty lemon and ginger. This sounds delicious and it is but it gets even better. There is a vanilla that adds a creaminess. I seriously want to eat this.
Notes listed include almond, ginger, vanilla and lemon.
The candle burns evenly and has average throw. I find that the scent is noticeable but it doesn’t dominate the space.
I plan on buying these candles in a few different scents. I liked Chocolate Bar and Lokum, a fresh lemon and rose gourmand. I didn’t sniff the entire line, but these were the ones that stood out to me during the trunk show.
Candles come in a variety of sizes (including tea lights) with prices ranging from about $7-$30 at Gabriel’s Aunt. The line has a recycling initiative and you can find more information about that here.
Victoria, thank you so much for the lovely review. I am very happy you are enjoying this little gourmand candle. Glad it brought you a little joy!
Thanks, Nikki!
