Everyday Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow Review – Neutrals

Everyday Minerals Eyeshadow Review
Picture of samples with flash on.

Here’s reviews and swatches of Everyday Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow, a mineral makeup company located in Austin, Texas. These colors are light neutrals ranging from a matte to a shimmer finish.

1 – Chamomile Shimmer Eyeshadow – This is an awesome pale yellow with buttery gold shimmer. This is a great base for light “ruddy” complexions. The yellow neutralizes redness on the lids. Overall it gives a very delicate look.

2 – Sea Horse Pearl Eyeshadow – A creamy neutral beige with faint shimmer. This is a beautiful base and highlighter shade. It blends easily.

3 – Hot Chocolate Pearl Eyeshadow – A peachy light tan with silver shimmer. Without a base, I have “fall out”. I recommend wearing a primer with all loose shadows.

4 – Oasis Shimmer Eyeshadow – A medium copper with tons of copper shimmer. A pretty color in the pot, but I find it sheer on the lid. It is buildable and looks good applied wet/foiled. Also has major “fall out” problems without a base.

5- At The Zoo Shimmer Eyeshadow – A warm dark brown with copper shimmer. This is a nice shade for the crease. This warm shade really enhances my blue eyes.

6 – Rare Silk Matte Eyeshadow – A light matte cream shade with super faint pink undertones. It applies very “cool” on me with a purple-ish gray undertone in certain lights. A pretty base shade for light complexions. Love to wear this with bold red lipstick. It really completes that retro look.

Swatches of Everyday Minerals Eye Shadow

These colors are very wearable in my opinion. These are the kinds of colors need to create many looks from natural to bold. Below is a look I created using 3 of the Everyday Minerals Eyeshadow above. It’s my “light” smoky eye. I think these colors look really nice with cool blue eyes and hazel eyes.

Everyday Minerals Mineral Eyeshadow Look

In the look above, I applied Chamomile from lash line to brow. I then applied Oasis from lash line to crease. I also took this shade and lined the bottom lash line halfway starting at the inside corner. In the crease, I blended At The Zoo. I also lined my bottom lash line halfway. This is my light smoky eye look. I lined the top lash line and the bottom lash line halfway with Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Emerald. I curled my lashes and applied a few coats of Rimmel Extra Super Lash WP Mascara in Black to top and bottom lashes.

I like many of these colors. I tend to wear the colors like Sea Horse and Rare Silk for “vintage” bold lippie looks. At The Zoo is my favorite out of this lot.

These shadows are available at Everyday Minerals. The sample sizes shown above are no longer available. Full sizes retail for $7 and the new roll-ons retail for $4.50.
