Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude EDP Perfume Video Review

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

I admit that I ignored Sensuous Nude when it was launched. I was sick of the Estee Lauder Sensuous flankers and honestly, I thought I had already tried this one. And the name seemed very silly to me. Sensuous Nude? I’d rather sniff Awkward Nude or Distasteful Nude. What about Sensuous Nude Descending Down a Staircase? I’m so happy that I finally wore Sensuous Nude on skin. It’s a nice casual mainstream fragrance that I enjoy wearing.

Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude

Sensuous Nude opens with a blast of citrus and pepper with a hint of dewy rose. And then it becomes a glistening coconut citrus with florals that reminds me a little of Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess because there is a “salt air” vibe in all of this. The fragrance’s heart reminds me if one mixed Bronze Goddess with the original Sensuous. It’s warm, soft, woodsy and musky with enough flowers for “lift”. It’s a bit of a powdery fragrance at the base but not too powdery, just soft.

Notes listed include Sicilian bergamot, baie rose, mandarin, black pepper, jasmine, muguet, coconut water, honey, musk, melted woods natureprint®, sandalwood, amber, heliotrope and vanilla.

Dorothy Hart at the beach

Give Sensuous Nude a try if you like soft florals or perfumes like Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, Estee Lauder Sensuous, Lollia Calm, Penhaligon’s Artemisia, Tom Ford Urban Musk, and/or Gucci EDT for Women. Try it if you like honey scents or what a warm beachy scent that isn’t too literal.

I think projection is average and longevity is above average.

Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude retails for $30-$90 (comes in 4 sizes) and is available at Nordstrom and Ulta.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONHoney hits the beach. This Estee Lauder fan girl emjoys this fragrance and wants a bottle. And it even comes in 1/2 ounce and 1 ounce bottles!

    1. This is my favorite Bronze Goddess because of that. Bronze Goddess was more swimming pool while Sensuous Nude is more beach.

    1. It’s funny because when I talk to people about this perfume, they’re like “Oh, I have the blue one”, or the “purple one”, lol.
Try this one. I think if you like the others you may like this one. It’s more “beachy”.

  1. Yeah, I’d see something like this on a shelf, roll my eyes, and walk away. It’s a good thing you tried it though. Pleasures Bloom is another Lauder flanker that turned out not so bad.

If I see it at Macy’s or something I’ll give it a try.

    1. When they abuse their names like this, you think there is no thought put into the fragrance. I haven’t tried Pleasures Bloom for that reason 🙂 And I guess now I should.

  2. Oh I love this one,not lemming very many mainstreams but have wanted this for a while…now reading your review makes me want it even more…I love the coconut note.

    1. This one is on my list 🙂 I’m waiting for their next gift with purchase so I can get a free mascara or something. I do like the coconut in this too. It’s not too beachy, not like other coconut perfumes. It’s more like coconut water than coconut cream.
