Week of January 9th-16th
Oh, and don’t you love this 1920’s pic of Nancy Carroll with 2 Pekingnese? The darker one reminds me of Frink…if Frink went all Poison on us…
Hope everyone had a lovely week! I actually had a surprise snow day on Wednesday. The rest of the week has went back to being mid-50’s and rainy. This is the PNW that I love! However, I’ve been on a scent rollercoaster this week. Earlier this week, all I wanted was fruity-florals like Creed Spring Flower and Annick Goutal Quel Amour! Later this week, I wanted spice and wore Bois 1920 Sushi Imperiale and a few DSH Perfumes incense scents. It was an unusual week weather wise, so I guess that influenced my fragrance cravings.
This week was another busy week in the land of perfume and beauty. DSH Perfumes announced that select scents would be carried by Indie Scents. And Lucky Scent has launched 3 new UNTITLED perfumes. And spring makeup collections have launched. I’m liking the looks of Clarins but Guerlain isn’t very me. Here’s what bloggers were talking about:
PERFUME:
Dee at BoTO talks about buying scents un-sniffed <gasp> She gives some good tips for buying these risky fragrances. Who’s your evil scent twin? Me? 😉
I wear perfume to bed and so does Olfactoria. Do you?
Thomas at Pere de Pierre review Annick Goutal Ambre Fetiche. I need to find that sample! It sounds like something I need this winter.
Tom at Perfume-Smellin’ Things reviews a perfume that I’ve been wanting to try for over a year now, Guerlain Sous le Vent. I must try it. FYI-Tom is almost my scent twin. We aren’t identical, but we could be fraternal 🙂
Ashleigh at Scent Rebel takes a glimpse into the perfume trends of 2011 and gives us a few suggestions to try.
BEAUTY:
Who knew $1 eye shadow could pack so much pigment. Go to Aquaheart’s Obsessions to check out this beauty steal!
Jane at Daly Beauty schools us on how to have soft, moisturized skin.
Carrie reviews a skincare peel that delivers results but most likely won’t irritate sensitive skin. Go to Eyeliner On A Cat to check out what it is!
G at Nouveau Cheap shows us some nail polish drugstore dupes! Yeah, a $2 nail polish that looks just like Deborah Lippmann’s Wicked Games, an $18 nail polish.
Gaia at The Non-Blonde reviews a lipstick shade that I have been getting some millage out of this fall/winter.
Thank you for the mention! 🙂 Please email me with your address, I would love to send you some Ambre Fetiche. Have a good Sunday (what is left of it :))
Do you like Ambre Fetiche? I think I have a sample. I need to find it. If I can’t find it, I’ll take you up on your offer 🙂
I love the good ol’ blog roundup and should really start doing it myself. There’s so much material out there to choose from!

It’s difficult for me. But, it’s good for me too. On Sundays, this is when I’m “forced” to catch up on the blogs I read. I really need to update my blogroll because it doesn’t really reflect everyone that I read.

I really like the design of your blog. Flowers and the hummingbirds on the header.
It makes it a little vintage looking as well.
I found the perfumes and makeup posts interesting.
What is the brand of your nail polish again?
