EauMG’s Weekly Blog Roundup II

Patricia Ellis and George Brent

December 5th to 12th:

It’s been another busy week as many people countdown to Christmas. If you’re ordering on-line the clock is a ticking if you want it before Christmas. Work is insane right now and I’m trying to tie up some loose ends before vacation. And I have to retake the GRE because mine expired. (This is super stressful. It’s been years since I’ve been in school). This week I received my sample order from High Voltage Cosmetics, I’ll let you know what I think of the eyeshadows soon. I also went to the SIFF and saw Willy Wonka in Smell-O-Vision and finally ventured over to West Seattle to visit Knows Perfume. I have a feeling that place is going to be second home, such a great suggestion and knowledgeable/passionate owner! I’ve also re-watched a few episodes of The Mighty Boosh, Frink the Frug’s favorite show, and remembered that I love grilled quince, such a beautiful aroma.

Here’s what has happened in the blogging world:

Fragrance:

Gaia at The Non-Blonde reviews DSH Perfumes Cuir et Champignon, a perfume that I can’t wait to try.

Krista at Scent of the Day reviews one of my favorite perfumes, my go to for summer, Sisley Eau de Campagne. If you love green fragrances then check out her review.

Yesterday’s Perfume gives us a book review of Mazzeo’s The Secret of Chanel No. 5. This would be a great book for any perfume fanatic that you know.

Trish at Scent Hive reviews A Perfume Organic Mejica, a comforting and cozy natural vanilla-musk perfume.

Olfactoria reviews Frederic Malle Editions de Parfums L’Eau d’Hiver , it sounds like a pure and white fragrance, very “wintery”.

Beauty:

Grey at Le Gothique shows us the best matte black eyeshadow.

Sara at The Makeup Snob interviews Meredith of Retrodiva’s Beauty.

Jane at Daly Beauty tries Maybelline The Falsies Mascara and loves it! Yeah, I didn’t have any luck with this product but so many have. It’s a deal if it works for you!

The Beauty Alchemist shows us a sneak peak of Guerlains Spring 2011 Sur Mes Levres Collection. Swoon. I’m such a sucker for any Guerlain Color Collection.

And go on over to Nouveau Cheap and congratulate Miss G for being the very first Wet n Wild Ambassador of the Month!

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you, love! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the shout-out. Seriously, you’re gonna make me cry, so stop it already. 😉 xoxo

    1. You deserve it! You were the one that got me trying WnW again. I haven’t used it since high school! And you were the 1st to show me the Pixie Palettes! You work hard so hard and deserve the recognition.

    1. Winter is really getting to me this year! I have no energy. I come home and watch silly shows. We have Netflix which rocks.
My dog will seriously watch the silly singing skits. He runs in the room, takes a seat, and all of his attention goes to it. It’s so cute!

        1. So it helping? I’m thinking about getting one. Living in the Seattle area is killer this time of year. It is so rainy and so dark. I know I have a vitamin D deficiency.

          1. I think it is helping. I’ve definitely felt better this last week or so. But it’s like all of those things – difficult to know if it’s actually that or something else. (If you know what I mean).

These days I feel like I really have to work to make it through winter. It’s easy for me to come to a bit of a grinding halt.
