Giving fragrance suggestions is one of my favorite things to do. I love when people ask me about fragrances. Oddly enough, it seems that I get the most requests for perfumes that smell like old-fashioned cosmetics and for perfumes that smell like orange creamsicles.
I’ve put together my guide of perfumes that smell like an orange cream pop. These are the perfumes that I’ve tried that smell like oranges and vanilla cream. And I’m surprised by how many of these retail for under $75!
The Under $75
Skeem Blood Orange Perfume Oil – Skeem is known for their home fragrances. Blood Orange is a bright citrus with a hint of vanilla that is used in their candles. It is now available as a personal fragrance. It’s more orange than cream. The roll-on retails for $15 at Skeem.
Smell Bent Sunshine Perfume Oil – This is a fun orange creamsicle scent with an unexpected, beautiful sandalwood dry-down. It can be worn in any season. The perfume oil retails for $20 at Smell Bent. If you don’t like oil perfumes, there is also an EDT.
Demeter Orange Cream Pop Cologne – This is Demeter’s take on orange + vanilla ice cream + wooden stick. It’s good but the longevity is terrible. But, it’s fun and inexpensive at $20 for 1 oz. at Demeter.
Sarah Horowitz Parfums Perfect Vanilla EDP – This perfume is a blend of vanilla cream and blood orange over Egyptian musk and dry tobacco. It’s a warm, yummy scent that isn’t completely edible because of the musk. The 1 oz. EDP retails for $60. A perfume oil roll-on is also available for $40 at Sarah Horowitz Parfums.
Ralph Lauren Ralph Rocks EDT – This is a milky orange scent that smells very “mainstream”, “abstract”, whatever word you choose to use. BUT it does have that theme of orange + cream and in this case it has some florals too. I’m not a snob and I’ll include ’em all.
ABL Brands Crush’d EDP – This EDP spray is an orange cream pop that turns into a blood orange toasted marshmallow. The tonka in this really adds something special. The 2 oz spray bottle retails for $52 at A Beautiful Life.
The Over $75
Esscentual Alchemy Orange Cream Perfume – If you want a botanical, natural perfume that smells like your favorite childhood treat, here it is! The citrus in this has dimension since it’s natural. The 5ml perfume retails for $75 at Esscentual Alchemy. Here’s my review.
By Kilian Sweet Redemption – This is the luxury orange creamsicle perfume. It’s a blend of heady orange blossom paired with a creamy vanilla. This is all over a very realistic myrrh incense. It retails for $225 for 1.7 oz. It’s available at Luckyscent.
The Extras
Aura Candle in Cosmic – This is a fancy orange creamsicle in candle form. It has great throw and I love the scent. It smells so good! It retails for $26 at Candles Off Main.
CleanWell Orange Vanilla Hand Sanitizer – This is a natural, alcohol free hand sanitizer that kills germs with thyme. The scent is a yummy blend of vanilla and orange designed by Mandy Aftel of Aftelier.
John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Milk – This moisturizing lotion with organic ingredients has a fruity, juicy citrus fragrance that is mellowed out by a rich, creamy vanilla. It layers with any of the perfumes mentioned in this guide.
That’s my guide as of summer 2012. If you know of any perfumes that smell like orange cream pops, please comment!

What a great idea! I love that smell so I’ll definitely try many of those (as I haven’t many
Aaargh! I have no luck with comments lately. They all get somehow posted before I mean to do it. 🙂
Anyway, as I haven’t tried many of those you listed, I look forward to tracking them down.

I’m having one of those days. My hands are not working with my brain!
You know, I would have said I was not in the market for an orange creamsicle fragrance… but I sure love my little travel bottle of Sweet Redemption!
Anne’ Pliska is rather creamsicle-ish as well, though a lot heavier than some of these. Nice list!
I’ve yet to try Anne Pliska!
I was thinking Anne Pliska, too. My first thought on sniffing it was “creamsicle,” without a doubt. Definitely worth a try!
I must add it to the list! And I need to try it 🙂
I LOVE Aura Cosmic! One of my favorite comfort candles. I love orange fragrances – Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine is one of my faves – but I’ve never tried orange/vanilla perfumes. I’ll have to check these out! Great post.
Aura Cosmic is amazing! One of my favorite home scents ever!
I love the scent of orange creamsicles, but wouldn’t necessarily want to wear it as a fragrance. So some of the more perfumey ones on your list sound really intriguing to me. And, I’m OCD about handwashing. So, the Cleanwell hand sanitizer sounds perfect! 🙂
I understand. I don’t want to smell like an orange creamsicle but many people do.
Not to sound like a commercial, but the Cleanwell spray is awesome. It does not contain alcohol so it isn’t drying like some of the other stuff. The hand wash is nice too.
I always thought Organza Indecence smelled sort of like orange-vanilla ice cream…
Yes, I would agree.
I had a bottle of Organza Indecence years ago and it broke in my bathroom. At that time I lived in a 400 square foot apartment. So, I’ve OD’d on the scent and haven’t been able to try it again…
This is a wonderful theme Victoria! Very creative, and I sure appreciate your including the Cleanwell hand sanitizers!
xo Mandy
Cleanwell is a great product line. And they smell great too 🙂
SIGH of cool relief from the 3-digit heat!!
You have my sympathy. Sometimes I miss that Southern weather, but I never miss those days where all you can do is stay inside by the air conditioner.
Hope you’re wearing a perfume that keeps you cool!
What a great gathering of scented orange creamsicles!
Thanks so much for including Orange Cream Victoria! This was a wonderful surprise to come back to after having no internet for 5 days!
I hope your move went great!
The Internet is glad to have you back!
Our modem breathed it’s last, and we had a funeral for it, and waited for the phone company to send a new one 😉 While a break is nice, I’m glad to be re-connected. I didn’t realize how many people I don’t talk to unless I use the internet.
xoxo

Ooh! I got one: Tokyo Milk Dark #85 (Truth). It’s a 5oz rollerball that comes in a cool test tube for under $30. Fragrance notes: blood orange, Osmanthus, crushed cedar, sugared vanilla.
I’ll add it to the list 🙂 I tried one from the Tokyo Milk Dark Collection that was really good but I can’t remember the name. It was osmanthus and dark chocolate. That sounds weird but to my surprise it totally worked!
