It’s that time of the year again! EauMG Gift Guide time! Here’s my gift ideas for vintage loving gals and for those that crave a little more Old Hollywood glamour in their lives. This guide is for those that it was socially acceptable to walk around in floor length silk dressing gowns and really do use the “I’m washing my hair tonight” excuse (setting hair is serious business). If you know a lady that swoons over “authentic” reproduction nylons and crushes on Cary Grant, check out this gift guide with glamorous gifts in a variety of price points.
1. Caron Nuit de Noel Parfum – Hey, it’s not vintage but who wants to spend their holidays camping out on eBay? Nuit de Noel, even the modern parfum version, is gorgeous. And the packaging is gorgeous. It’s gorgeous. This makes a delightful gift that she’ll always remember. It goes for $230 at Nordstrom.
2. Penhaligon’s Neroli Candle – This heady candle is housed in a colorful box with a tassel. The matchbox that is included is groovy. This brand is serving up some 1970’s-art deco, The Abominable Dr. Phibes realness with this packaging. It retails for $65 at Beautyhabit.
3. Maja Dusting Powder – Let’s be real here. This gift is all about the packaging. It looks awesome on a waterfall vanity. And it is an affordable gift retailing for about $18 at drugstore.com.
4. Guerlain Liu Perfumed Shimmer for Hair & Face – Did you see this? I need not explain. The packaging is stunning. It’s a fine glitter that looks awesome in hair. But, you should know that is very lightly fragranced. I can barely smell it. But, I love how it gives me a party-ready look but I’m always party-ready 😉 It’s limited edition and retails for $88 at Nordstrom.
5. Tom Ford Exclusive Nail Set – Here’s a set that contains 16 Tom Ford Nail Lacquers presented in a Tom Ford Box. Aren’t you amazed? Well, you should be for $480. It’s available at Neiman Marcus.

Your gift guides are back! HUZZAH!
I can’t believe it’s that time again! I had the “oh, shit” moment yesterday when I realized that Thanksgiving is next week :S
Had the husband buy me the Nuit de Noel for Christmas two years ago. My PRECIOUS!!!
Bought the Guerlain Liu already as my FIRST Christmas gift to myself (bought the Vol de Nuit one last year and loved it).
Now because of you I have to buy the Maja!!That packaging is gorgeous.Want the Penhaligon’s for the packaging alone even though none of their fragrances plays well with my body chemistry (candles might work though)!
Victoria you are such an enabler, and I know you’ll have more lists in the future!!!
I know I’m an enabler but it sounds like you’ve got this stuff covered! I can’t wait to hear about what other gifts your give yourself 🙂
The Nuit de Noel is something that I feel most people need in their collection.
I missed out on the Liu glitter unless I order online (which I may). I walked down to the store, sprayed it on, by the time I walked home I had decided I wanted. Walked back and they had sold the last one 🙁
Maja – I actually like the scent especially in the body products.
Penhaligon’s – This candle is what you’d want your home to smell like – fresh. It wouldn’t work on my skin but it’s a great scent for the home. I want my wardrobe to mirror the colors in that packaging…
I like the idea of a shimmer from Guerlain but there are other very nice products that serve the same purpose so I feel that a shimmer for that price has to be either a less expensive part of a gift set (with an EdT or a parfum – see, I don’t even ask for it to be 50% cheaper on its own!) or should have a better staying power.
Undina recently posted..My Wish List for the Perfume Industry
That product is 100% about the deco packaging. It does irritate me that they say it is scented. I can’t smell it at all. It’s a cosmetic in a perfume bottle.
Now a gift set would have been slick…
Nice selection, but $480 for nail polish? Tom is cray-cray.
I need some f the Diorific stuff. Too cool.
Didn’t we already know that Tom is cray-cray? Because he is. At least he didn’t present an ad of these sticking out of some chick’s ass crack!
I have stumbled across the Dior stuff in a few stores. It’s gorgeous stuff. I have yet to buy it, because I’m trying to be good.
