George Barbier Robe d'Interieur en Soie Brochee 1911

February 13th-20th:

How was Valentine’s? I got a few bottles of perfume and chocolate, 2 things that make me very happy any time of the year. The rest of my week was spent being sick, feverish, but my sense of smell hasn’t been affected. It’s been a sunny weekend and today I’m going out to the Middle Eastern markets to pick up some groceries. And I’m going to the Indian market to get a dosa. Geez, I love dosas. That should cure me.

I have a 4 day weekend so now I have time to catch up on my favorite blogs. Here’s what happened in the world of fragrance and beauty:

FRAGRANCE:

Ines at All I Am – A Redhead reviews a woody chocolate perfume from DSH Perfumes. I’ve always thought that chocolate and patchouli are a match made in heaven. I need to try this one!

Olfactoria’s Travels reviews a natural solid perfume by Aftelier that is sure to put a smile on your face.

Scent of the Day reviews a “bodice ripper chypre”. Go check it out!

Ashleigh at Scent Rebel interviews the gals behind the indie line, Cherry Bomb Killer.

The Scented Salamander shares that there is a new celebrity perfume on the horizon. But, it isn’t your typical pop star or award winning actress. Who is it? Hint: Snow White complexion and ruby red lips.

BEAUTY:

Stephanie at Aquaheart’s Obsessions got her hands on all three of Wet n Wild Color Icon 8 Eyeshadow Palettes. I want them all!

I’m vicariously living through Blogdorf Goodman and her NARS splurge. Oh, it’s so beautiful!

My Lips But Better shows us a Chanel Paradoxal dupe!

G at Nouveau Cheap shows us a moisturizing drugstore lipstick that I’m going to buy today. I love creamy lipsticks.

Gaia at The Non-Blonde swatches a retro inspired red nail polish by Deborah Lippmann.

    1. Dosa is a South Indian food. I went out didn’t get a dosa, but got pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). I did pick up some Croatian teas too 😉

Bois du Chocolat sounds like it would be the ultimate comfort scent for me. Like I said, I love patchouli and chocolate.
