DSH Perfumes DAWN Pretty & Pink EDP Perfume Review

DSH Perfumes Pretty in Pink EDP

DSH Perfumes Pretty & Pink is a relaunched perfume. And I’m delighted that it has been relaunched since I missed it the first go around.

Pretty & Pink opens as a floral marshmallow. It’s soft and sweet. It has a dewy freshness from freshly sliced apples and stone fruits. The florals are vanilla-almond heliotrope, sheer rose and a thick mimosa. When I smell Pretty & Pink, I’m reminded of hookah tobacco -apple, rose, strawberry, molasses, vanilla. I imagine if all of these tobacco flavors mingled together, I’d get something that smells like Pretty & Pink. With time I get a honeyed linden, strawberry and rosewater. The base is a powdered sugared vanilla musk with rose. It’s the best rose hookah perfume ever.

Maria Montez

Notes listed include apple, cassie flower, green mandarin, hawthorne, immortelle, plum, strawberry, violet, Bulgarian rose, French linden blossom, gardenia, heliotrope, honey, mimosa absolute, rosewater, Australian sandalwood, bourbon vanilla, musk and tonka bean.

Give Pretty in Pink a try if you like sweet rose scents. Or if you like perfumes like L’Artisan Parfumeur Traversée du Bosphore, Tauer Une Rose Vermeille, Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum eau Poudrée, Serge Lutens Louve, and/or Jo Malone London Rose Water & Vanilla Cologne Intense. Because of the sweetness, I want to say that Pretty & Pink is feminine. But, it’s possible that a guy could wear this. And this guy would have to be comfortable with this perfume’s name.

Pretty in Pink has average projection and above average longevity. It does wear closely to the skin the last few hours of wear.

An 1 0z EDP retails for $80 at DSH Perfumes.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONFlavored hookah tobacco fruity-floral. I love it and I want a bottle. For years, I’ve been searching for a “hookah” perfume. This is it for me.

This scent was featured in The Perfume Matching Game – June 2012.

    1. I love it. I haven’t tried PdR Rose Praline (I’ve only tried 2 PdR perfumes). I really look forward to reading your review.

  1. I like this one. It’s not love for me (well, at least not yet – I have another couple of ml to go through, who knows…) but I like it. I’m curious to try how it wears in a warmer weather (if we even get it here 😉 ).
Undina recently posted..Twice into the same river?

    1. We’ve had OK weather, just really, really weird. We’ve had thunderstorms and the usual clouds. If it gets over 60 degrees, I’m happy 🙂

Not falling in love can be a good thing 🙂 I have “true loves” for years now that I haven’t bought!

  2. I liked this one, too. It was pretty. But, I don’t seem to have gotten some of the complexities on my skin that you got (or my nose is not as good!). Still, I think it would have wide appeal.
