Demeter Cosmopolitan Cocktail Cologne Review

Demeter Cosmopolitan Cocktail Cologne

I love a tart and fruity cosmo. I like mine with lots of vodka and unsweetened cranberry juice and lots of lime. I like to pair it with stupid Marilyn Monroe or Jayne Mansfield flicks. It makes for a good and lonely Friday night.

Demeter Cosmopolitan Cocktail Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray is really not what I was looking for. It should be renamed Pixie Stick or Sweet Tarte since it is a dead ringer of these childhood sugary treats. It is very tart on initial spritz and very refined sugar. I feel like the little molecules of the fragrance are actually Pixie Stick sugar dust that I will have to sweep up later. It is sour and tangy but in a candy way not a fruity cranberry way. I know fruits are very difficult to replicate in fragrance and you can really tell it with this fragrance. It smells like strawberry Sweet Tarts with a dash of lime. I don’t totally hate this one, it just isn’t what I expected. It doesn’t remind me of a cosmo at all. In fact if you just handed me a blotter card with this one it I would think it was just sugary candy. It doesn’t smell alcohol-ish or a bit like cranberry juice: sweetened or unsweetened. Next time I’ll just stick to the real thing.

It is available at Demeter Fragrance.
