Chantecaille Vetyver EDP Perfume Review

Chantecaille Vetyver EDP perfume

If you’re the type of person that likes vetiver but doesn’t like vetivers that “get all up in yo face”, then you need to check out this little jewel of a vetiver – Chantecaille Vetyver.

Vetyver opens with a rather nice grapefruit with peppery spice.  It’s very refreshing especially on a warm day. Vetyver’s heart is a clean vetiver with enough bergamot and smoke to remind me of Earl Grey tea. They dry-down is a soft, smoky vetiver. The overall feel of Vetyver is rather modern. I could see how someone that really likes Hermès fragrances enjoying Vetyver.

Notes listed include citron, pepper, nutmeg, bergamot, and vetiver. Launch date 2010. PERFUMER – Pierre Negrin

Give Vetyver a try if you like vetiver! Or if you like perfumes like Annick Goutal Vetiver, Hermes Vetiver Tonka, Diptyque Vetyverio, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue for Her and/or The 7 Virtues Vetiver of Haiti. Chantecaille Vetyver has a sheerness. It’s not an aggressive vetiver; thus, it’s easily unisex.

Vetyver has average projection  and longevity. I really recommend this one for wear in the summer or in warm climates.

The 2.5 oz spray retails for $175 at NordstromBeautyhabit and Harrods (UK). A rollerball is available for $68, but I feel this one is better sprayed.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONA very well-done sunny citrus vetiver. If you are a fan of vetiver, this is one worth checking out. I wouldn’t call myself a vetiver fan but I rather enjoy wearing this one.
