I don’t want to be one of those boring people that complain about the weather, but I’m going to be one of those boring people. The weather in March was so frustrating. We had an icestorm. The disgusting, tar-soaked ice piles lingered for weeks. It was cold and disgusting. All I wanted was spring and it couldn’t be found.
A lot of people do “Anti-Hauls” on Youtube. If you aren’t familiar with these, these are videos where people talk about what they aren’t buying. With so many launches, I love the premise of this. It gives us a reason to talk about what’s new without actually participating in this makeup economy of “BUT THIS LIMITED EDITION THING!”.
Inspired by my fellow Lipstick Leaguer¹, Phyrra, I’ve decided to put together my own monthly Anti-Haul (sans Youtube/video because I can’t find the time nor do I appreciate the harassment).
Overview of what I bought in March: I received my The Ordinary order and so far I love what I’ve tried This is a really effective, cheap brand. I also like their minimalist packaging.
My skin had been looking dull from crummy weather and I realized I don’t have an AHA cream. Based on a friend’s recommendation, I bought derma E Overnight Peel. This stuff is wonderful for me. February is that month that flies by but I never complain about it. I want the dead of winter to fly by. I don’t want it to last longer.
It was a dull month. There were mid-terms and projects due. The weather was spotty. One day it’d be so springlike and perfect and the next it would be snowing. It was confusing.
February 2017 Lowbuy Update – I’m such a cheater. I ended up buying a “bundle” of Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks which were Buy 3 for $45. I always gripe about liquid lipsticks but for some reason I wanted the new shades. The swatches were just too darn pretty. FYI – they have done something to the formula.
