Last year I put together my list of lesser known perfumes that I thought were perfect for spring. They’re still perfect for spring. But, I know how you guys are, you always want to hear about something new 😉
I’m usually very predictable and traditional when it comes to spring. I like the florals. I really, really like the “purple” florals like violet, lilac, hyacinth and iris. This isn’t my personal list of “most worn for Spring 2012”, these are my pics of perfumes that I think are pretty for spring. And because I’m so… Continue reading | 16 Comments
I’m not usually a fan of soliflores as many are boring. I hestitated trying Penhaligon’s Peoneve due to the lackluster backstory and the fact that every peony perfume I try leaves me with a headache (as well as smelling peony flowers). It’s an Easter weekend miracle, I don’t have any celeb gossip!!!

In May, Van Cleef & Arpels will launch… Continue reading | 2 Comments
Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume
One doesn’t really expect innovation or even quality from a celeb perfume, but I must say that for the price David Beckham Homme isn’t too shabby. A lot of guys are buying equally as boring designer fragrances that cost much more.
David Beckham Homme opens with “fresh” citrus that I’ve smelled in other mainstream masculines. It’s Chinese 5 Spice with the lemon-spice Szechuan pepper and ginger. It’s spicy fresh. The rosemary is green and sharp. The next thing you know you have a mini spice cabinet following you around! The leather in Homme… Continue reading | 2 Comments
Here’s the deal – Wear any perfume you like. It doesn’t matter how it is marketed. Wear what you love.
Saying that, I often get asked by men starting out in the world of perfume, “Can a guy wear this?” I wish they’d stop asking me that. My response is usually “A guy can wear anything.” I don’t say that to be snarky or rude. I mean it. However, I understand that it is intimidating. We live in a culture that still emphasizes gender norms. I know that when a guy asks me that question that they aren’t… Continue reading | 25 Comments
