Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume
Why the heck and I reviewing something called Eternity Aqua for Men? Probably because I’m in a snarky mood.
Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua opens as a metallic cucumber melon. And something in this reminds me of green bell peppers and rubber bands. Some watery flowers and aluminum cans. It dries down to generic “man base” – cedar, musk and aromatic stuff.
Overall, from a distance it’s just “generic dude”. My thought is that this would be a good scent for a young teen that is like “I want manly stuff so people will think I’m cute”. Because it’s generic “blue juice” but it isn’t overwhelming. And it doesn’t come in an aerosol spray 😉 Now if you want “blue juice” and you’re still reading EauMG, you can do better than this, but at the same time, this isn’t terrible. It’s just run of the mill “blue juice”.
I wish I had more snark for you, but I don’t. It didn’t really inspire me. Sorry.
Notes listed include chilled cucumber, citrus cocktail, water lotus, green leaves, plum, pepper, red berries, lavender, white cedar, sandalwood, guiac, patchouli and musk. Launched in 2010.
Give Eternity Aqua a try if you like aquatics. Or if you like fragrances like Ralph Lauren Polo Blue, Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey Pour Homme, Nautica Voyage and/or Bvlgari Man. It smells really “dude”-ish. Light so good for “day” or warm weather wear.
Projection and longevity are below average.
Eternity Aqua for Men comes in 2 sizes with prices ranging from $58-$74 at Sephora. It can also be found at discounters like Perfume.com.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Some generic blue juice marketed to dudes. Not bad. Not great. I guess this is what we call <meh>?
