Boxwalla October Beauty Box Review – Ancient Secrets from the East

Boxwalla Beauty Box october

The October Boxwalla Beauty Box introduced a new green beauty line, Siam SEAS (South East Asian Spa). This is a brand that based on traditional beauty remedies and made in Thailand. The founder, Supadra Geronima, created this all-natural skincare line to take care of her troubled skin (everything from acne, discolorations to scaring).

This Boxwalla introduced me to the brand with three new products:

Siam Seas Cleansing Balm

Mekha Cleansing Balm – This is a cleansing balm with ingredients like royal jelly, raw honey and turmeric. You use it like you would any cleansing balm (with a hot cloth). It can also be used as a mask. It smells like ginger and lemongrass. As someone that uses cream and oil cleansers to remove makeup, I like the feel of this one. FYI – You will need a washcloth to remove it. Because of the texture, you may want to follow-up and use it as the first cleanser in your double-cleanse method. I like this cleanser a lot but I’m not a fan of lemongrass scents and this product smells very much like lemongrass. The formula is so good that I’m ignoring it.

Siam Seas Beauty Balm

SEAS Elements Beauty Balm – This is a green balm made from nourishing butters and oils (i.e. kokum butter, hemp seed oil, pumpkin seed oil and more). It is best to use this on damp skin (either after a splash of water or a hydrosol).  It smells like springtime –  flowers and meadows. The feel of the balm is smooth and a little goes far. It does have a heavier feel, which I like. When the weather gets cooler and windier in the city, I see myself being really happy to use something like this.

Siam Seas Serum

Twilight BeCalm Skin Serum – This is a orange-tinted oil that smells like flowers (I mostly pick up on a tropical ylang-ylang). This was designed for Supadra’s cystic acne (which I can relate to). It is used after the beauty balm or it can be used alone (if you are oilier). My experience with this oil has been very positive. It absorbs quickly while leaving my skin feeling hydrated. The first ingredient is black cumin seed oil, which my skin absolutely adores. Other ingredients include aloe, vitamin and oils like seabuckthorn, pomegranate kukui nut and more. Personally, I wish it didn’t have lavender or citrus oils but my skin hasn’t reacted to these (they’re further down the list). Out of this set, this serum has been my favorite product.

Value: $150.

Other info: The brand is all-natural and doesn’t test on animals. However, not all items are vegan.

This was a great introduction to this new brand. I’m so curious about their bath and body products. A Jasmine Rice Coconut Body Scrub? Yes, please! They also have haircare. My hair reacts so well to the “crunchy” stuff so I’m curious about that as well.

I’ve been sampling Boxwalla Beauty since they came out and my opinions are still the same. (I’ve expressed my PROS/CONS with Boxwalla and you read that here). A pro (or a con) of the October Beauty Box is that everything is skincare (no cosmetics or body care) and it’s all from the same brand. I do recommend Boxwalla Beauty to anyone that is already a fan of green beauty or is looking for an economical way to “switch over” to green beauty. You get a lot of product for the money.pro

  1. Great review Victoria! Oh and their body scrubs are amazing!! My favorites are the Noni body scrub and the Lakoocha body scrub – both smell amazing! Their hair care is lovely as well – my favorite is the butterfly pea line especially the conditioner (but it depends on your hair type). And I adore their body butter too. It was soo difficult to choose just three products to feature from the line..lol

    1. The bath/body and hair stuff sound so amazing. If I were to order, I have no idea how I could decide. I do need some of that Split End stuff in my life though. My hair is so dry these days.

It was great to be introduced to this line 🙂
