Bobbi Brown Bobbi’s Beach Club Summer 2010 Collection

This is Bobbi’s take on shiny, happy people on the beach. It’s true. One’s complexion really glows after a relaxing vacation. This collection consists of glowing no-fuss products.

There is a Shimmer Brick in Beach. This is a blend of 5 shimmery tan shades. This is a versatile brick and it really does look summery with the blend of tan and sand. This compact retails for $38. There is also a new Treatment Lip Shine SPF 15 in Clear. It goes for $22.

There are 4 new shades of Metallic Long-Wearing Cream Shadow. This is a great formula that gives shimmer and color while withstanding hours of humid wear. I like Moonstone, a shimmery dusty green. This type of color looks beautiful on brown and green eyes, especially when mixed with purple in the grease or as a liner. Opal is a light shimmer with a hint of pink. It is a nice under the brow kind of highlighting color. Pink Oyster is a light pink shimmer. Surf is a pale blue shimmer. Surf looks nice when paired with warm bronzes. I like that the colors aren’t your typical gold and bronze summer shades. These colors are very “fresh” and sheer. They really just add lightness/brightness to the lid. There is a new shade of Long-Wear Cream Shadow. It’s Shore, a natural pale buff. This is a great lazy brunch kind of color. It evens out the lids and makes them look fab without looking “made up”. Each shadow pot retails for $22.

Overall, the collection is very relaxed and simple. These are the types of things you would just “throw” on for early Saturday morning farmer’s market runs, Sunday brunch, or casual outing where you kind of what to look pulled together. I didn’t purchase any of the colors but I do like the Long-Wear Cream Shadow because they layer nicely. I can’t justify it when I already own similar colors. This collection can be purchased at Bobbi Brown cosmetics counters or Bobbi Brown’s website
