Belle Fleur Indochine Candle Review

Belle Fleur Indochine

If you want to avoid a serious lemming, then don’t read this review. If you want to know what luxury in wax form smells like, then keep on reading.

Belle Fleur Indochine is a sultry scent, an absolute stunner. It’s like a rich, powdery, honeyed floral. It’s this glorious jasmine over smoky, dark woods with a boozy vanilla sweetness. Indochine is what I’d call a  “dark jasmine”. It’s a smoky, sexpot jasmine paired with warm woods and an irresistible, sweet, animalic honey. If it were a personal fragrance, I’d wear it. But, for now, it’s a candle and I’m going to enjoy burning it.

I like many Belle Fleur scents but they really out did themselves with this one. Indochine smells like luxury.

Notes listed include bergamot, saffron, benzoin, jasmine, orange blossom, honey, osmanthus, rosewood, patchouli, tonka and vanilla.

Indochine is a candle worth trying if you like “sultry” woodsy scents. Or scents like Byredo Peyote Poem, NEST Three O’Clock and Malin + Goetz Rum.

Like other Belle Fleur candles that I’ve burned, this one has amazing throw and burns clean. I want to note that the packaging has been updated and now includes a lovely Belle Fleur lid.

Indochine retails for $74 at Belle Fleur.

  1. I love the Belle Fleur Indochine candle as well! It’s amazing and one of the best scent they’ve created. It’s right up there with their Kyara Clove fragrance for me as one of my favorites. Thick, rich, sultry, super sexy, unisex, dark… So complex and yet easy to relate to. I love them both. Great review!!

    1. This one is gorgeous. There are few candle scents that I’d repurchase (not because others are bad but because I’m such a flirt) but this is one that I always want around.

    1. I can’t wait for their perfume launch! There are actually many of the candle scents that I’d happily wear as perfume!
