Becca & Mars Lavender Love Mask and Scrub is a highly fragrant natural facial treatment that can be a scrub and/or a mask. I love a multi-tasking product! I can customize this dry powder blend of cornmeal and almond meal to work with my skin concerns. My skin is left sooo smooth after using this. And there’s a fragrance bonus: lavender!

Formula: I love a “mix it yourself” mask because you customize it. Becca & Mars recommends: If you have combo or oily skin you mix this fine powder with milk, yogurt, or water. If you have sun damaged or mature skin you mix this with honey or carrot juice. If you have dry skin you mix this in an oil base, heavy cream, or honey. I mixed this mask/scrub with water. I have normal skin. Oh, and I also like “mix it yourself” scrubs because you can customize it to your skin’s tolerance. For example, sensitive skins will mix more liquid than recommend and “tough” skin or skin with a higher tolerance can mix more of the scrub powder than recommended. I “eyeball” it like I do everything. (This is how I cook too). I mix a paste in the palm of my hand that looks right to me. I gently scrub and rinse it off with warm water. I have left this on as a mask too. I use it as a scrub once a week and a scrub/mask once a week. This scrub/mask leaves my skin sooo smooth. When I use this with Juara Rice Facial Cleanser and follow with this Becca & Mars scrub my skin is left shockingly smooth.

Here’s an idea that I have with this product. Mix a little (about a 1/4 of what’s recommended) of this powder in your hand with your daily facial cleanser. You can cleanse while you scrub. Just use a small amount for daily exfoliation. Exfoiliated skin is brilliant, radiant, and younger looking skin 🙂

Fragrance: The fragrance is awesome. It is lavender with sage. It’s herbaceous and relaxing. It is a strong fragrance. If you do not like the scent of lavender oil then you will not like this skincare product. I love the scent of both lavender and sage so I love this aromatherapeutic fragrance. I put it on my face and breathe in the relaxing aroma of natural lavender and sage oils. It has a sweet almond meal base. This adds to the herbaceous fragrance.

Who may like this product? People that like a customizable scrub and/or mask. People that are looking for natural skincare products or those against big corporate companies 🙂  And those that love relaxing natural fragrances such as lavender. I think this scrub could work for all skin types since it can be customized.

Who may not like this product? Those that dislike lavender or scented skincare products. People who don’t want (or don’t have the time) to mix up their own scrub. The container is glass so it isn’t really practical for quick “shower in the morning” use. I’m using it at the sink or during baths.
