Artemesia Perfumes Saveur de L’Abricot is a reminder of summer. When I wear it, I’m reminded of rays of sunshine warm against the cotton t-shirt on my back. There’s warmth and the trees are veiled in green leaves. Everything tastes better because it’s actually in season. Unlike other fruity peach/apricot fragrances, Saveur de L’Abricot reminds me of an apricot tree filled with perfectly ripe fruit. There is a hint to leaves and bark as well as the fuzzy fruit.
Saveur de L’Abricot opens as this juicy, slightly green osmanthus. A hint of dry hay which gives a feel of “sunshine”. The perfume gets juicier with wear. There’s an addition of tart currant and sun-ripe apricots. You’ll want to sink your teeth into it. As it dries down, the apricot remains but there is an addition of warm woods which give the illusion of the tree’s branches and bark.
Saveur de L’Abricot is rather simple but that is why I like it. It’s a simple “theme” but it brings me so much joy. It’s one of those perfumes that I smell and then it improves my mood.
Notes listed include Chinese osmanthus and real apricot. Launched 2013. PERFUMER – Lisa Fong
Give Saveur de L’Abritcot a try if you want a juicy apricot fragrance. Or if you like perfumes like Providence Perfume Co. Mouselline Peche, Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Apricot, LUSH 1000 Kisses Deep, Rebel & Mercury Osmanthus Red and/or House of Matriarch Happy Baby.
Projection is average and longevity is below average. I think it has nice wear for a natural perfume.
The .6 oz EDP retails for $68 at Artemisia Perfume. Samples are also available for purchase. And there is a solid perfume.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Juicy, sun-ripe apricots still on the tree. For me, this is a happy fragrance. I’ve been learning (or attempting to learn) some Turkish. There is a phrase that I love that suggests “It doesn’t get any better than this”. The literal translation of the Turkish phrase is “Better than this is an apricot in Damascus”. Which is saying something because apricot season is short and Damascus is only one place…This is how I feel about this fragrance. I haven’t sniffed a better apricot fragrance than this.

I love apricots so this sounds great. I have a small bottle of abricot perfume from France and while I like it, it’s the ultimate tease. It starts out as a juicy apricot but it ends in soap. I would prefer the branches and bark.
Its funny, I found my 1000 Kisses sample Sunday evening and was wearing it. It is a lovely fragrance. Big thumbs up on Lush’s sample vials, too. I know it seems odd to say but I wish more places had those little bottles!
Good thing about this one is that it doesn’t turn to soap! I went through the sample of this. I think if I had a bottle, I’d use it up too.
Their samples are in the best packaging. AND that Lalique Satine that I sampled was in the same vial. I wish more companies would use those too.
