Arquiste Infanta en Flor is inspired by the Spanish Court of 1660, Maria Teresa and Louis XIV. The scent is described as “floral musky amber”. It is but that description makes it seem heavy. Infanta en Flor isn’t heavy at all. It’s a sheer, fresh fragrance that works wonderfully in warm climates.
Infanta en Flor opens with a heady orange blossom but you notice something different about it. There’s an animalic quality. Infanta en Flor is a soapy leather fragrance and it actually works. This scent is very heady. The orange blossom in this is wonderful. There is a hint of green rose. This burns off and I’m left with this gorgeous warm, soft suede. The base is powdery and cosmetic with orris. But at the same time it’s musky like ambrette seed with a soft, clean amber and white musks.
Notes listed include orange flower water, Spanish leather, cistus resin and immortelle. PERFUMER – Yann Vasnier
This scent is unisex but I love the thought of it as a masculine. I really want to smell a man wearing this. I think it’s a great masculine. An unexpected masculine. Many people will think of this as a soft, innocent scent. I like to think of it as a “nice guy” fragrance.
Give Infanta en Flor a try if you are looking for a fresh fragrance or if you like Chloe Love Chloe, Annick Goutal Mandragore, Prada L’Eau Ambrée, Narciso Rodriguez Essence, and/or Aramis.
Projection is average. Longevity isn’t. The scent benefits from being sprayed without abandon.
The 55 ml bottle of Infanta en Flor retails for $175 at Beautyhabit. Samples are also available for purchase.
