Archipelago Pomegranate EDT Fragrance Review

Archipelago Pomegranate Perfume

Archipealgo Pomegranate is a citrus-floral that is sunny and energetic. If you are looking for something fruity like a pomegranate, this isn’t it. I don’t know why, but it seems like no perfume actually smells like pomegranate. There just isn’t a decent synthetic or natural on the market.

Pomegranate opens as a shrill fruity-floral that reminds me of crisp lemon and lemon blossoms. It’s bright, shiny and cheerful. I get tart-sweet fruit, but I wouldn’t sniff it and think “pomegranate” but I do think “juicy red fruits”, like that synthetic “red berries” that I smell sometimes in Thierry Mugler perfumes. The florals in this is fresh and clean and so feminine. It’s a little humid but not stuffy because of the very tart citrus and fruits.

Frink with Archipelago perfume
Frink the Frug comes out of his modeling retirement.

This is an EDT and it doesn’t wear that long. But, it lasts longer than most citrus EDTs. It lasts about 3 hours on me. And it comes in an affordable roller-ball so you can freshen up throughout the day.

This fragrance is so not me. I don’t like tart citrus and you guys know that. But, I do think this would be a wonderful home fragrance, even for me 🙂 It’s fresh and sunny.

Notes listed include pomegranate, freesia, and lemon.

Give Pomegranate a try if you like tart fruity florals or perfumes or home fragrances like NEST Grapefruit, Anthousa Pomegranate Mint, Versace Bright Crystal, Clinique Happy, Pacifica Malibu Lemon Blossom, and/or Gucci Envy Me. I really would classify this scent as “feminine”.

The 8 ml EDT of Pomegranate retails for $16 at Archipelago. There is also an EDT spray that retails for $35. Actually, this scent is available in body products and home fragrances as well.

Final EauPINION A tart citrus-fruity floral that smells fresh and feminine. Not bad for the price but not me. I’m not one for tart citrus-fruity florals 🙂 But, I would love to have this scent as a home fragrance because it is so fresh and so clean. It’s bright and will “light up” my house with an optimistic fragrance.

  1. Melograno Selvatico by I Profumi di Firenze has the best pomegranate note I’ve smelled so far, but it gets soapy in the middle which I don’t like. Fresh has a pomegranate anise scent that’s OK but kind of synthetic. I agree with you that I haven’t found one that’s truly satisfying yet.

    1. Have a sample of the i Profumi, haven’t tried it yet. Mainly because I have low expectations for pomegranate perfumes. They all smell tart and synthetic. And I tend to hate tart.

However, DSH Perfumes has Nowruz and it’s a bit wine-y.
