It’s September which is good. I’m so over August. It’s too hot and too humid. However, September hasn’t gotten the memo yet. It’s also hot and humid. And it looks like the entire week is going to be this way. My brain is sick of trying to function in this mess. So, let’s start this first day of September out with something pretty and uplifting, OK?
April Aromatics Rose L’Orange is a pretty floral with sweetness that is never cloying. Rose L’Orange opens with an orange blossom with crushed, bitter greens. It’s bright, cheerful and sunny. With time, it becomes a “green” rose with orange nuances over a creamy vanilla. The dry-down of Rose L’Orange is like an orange blossom marshmallow with ambrette-like musk.
It’s really pretty and I’m amazed that it isn’t “too much” in the heat. And I also have tried this one in the dead of winter and it’s instantly uplifting, a reminder that better days are ahead.
Notes listed include rose centofolia, rose otto, Tunisian neroli, and orange blossom. Launch date 2012. PERFUMER – Tanja Boching
Projection and longevity are average.
Give Rose L’Orange a try if you like sweeter florals. Or if you like perfumes like Ayala Moriel Musk Malabi, By Kilian Sweet Redemption, Phoenix Botanicals Night Bloom, Smell Bent Sunshine and/or By Kilian Love. And like I said earlier, I think it works in any season.
Victoria’s Final EauPINION – Like an orange blossom and rose marshmallow. Bright, floral and sweet yet never cloying. Now I want orange blossom and rose marshmallows…
