Anthousa Chinoiserie Home Ambiance Collection is a luxury home fragrance diffuser collection based on Chinese aromatherapy.
This collection of Anthousa home fragrance diffusers is housed in a beautiful seductive matte black glass bottle. It really reminds me of something one would find in an early 1920’s Parisian apartment. I am a fan of this decadent look.
The collection contains:
Lavender & Chinese May Chang – This is the “stimulating and balancing” scent. I totally agree. I can not think of a more relaxing fragrance than lavender. This home scent smells of lavender. It’s smoky sweet and reminds me of a home version of Serge Lutens Gris Clair, one of my favorite perfumes. This is a nice lavender, like “real” lavender drying out in the late summer sun. It has what I like in lavender, a little bit of sweetness to mellow out the medicinal aroma of lavender. It really is a soothing scent. Fans of lavender should love this home fragrance.
Warm Amber & Cedarwood – This is the “serenity” scent. This home fragrance is creamy and this is what I expected with name like Warm Amber & Cedarwood. However, there’s more than resins and woods. A fruitiness is present. I get candied citrus and candied roses resting on the woodsy, creamy amber base. However, there is a coolness to this creamy fragrance. It reminds me of the forest floors of early spring here in the Pacific Northwest: damp cedar and wild lilies. This fragrance is juicy, creamy, and crisp. Being a sensual fragrance, I see it working well for a bedroom or an intimate, cozy living room. I think if you like scents like Victoria’s Secret Amber Romance or Calvin Klein Euphoria then you could like this.
Demi bottles (8.3 fl. oz) retail for $72. Demi bottles last about 6 months. Anthousa Home Ambiance diffuser’s throw their fragrance without the need of reversing the reeds.
UPDATE: The brand has been discontinued.
