More looks of horror film babes! Here’s a late 50’s-early 60’s portrait of Lee Remick, much younger than her Omen days. Here’s what I did to get this retro orange lipstick look that is perfect for summer:
FACE: With a concealer brush, I applied MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30. With a wet sponge, I applied Lancôme Dual Finish in Ecru. With a powder brush, I applied e.l.f. studio SPF 45 powder. With a medium blush brush, I swipped MAC Powder Blush in Melba, a matte peach, up the cheek bones.
EYES: Brows are very natural. I applied noir Brow Gel to the brows. Eye makeup is very minimal. I’m using Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Duo in Like Mink. I applied the darkest shade, a warm medium brown shimmer, from lash line to crease. I covered the lid. From crease to brow bone, I applied the lighter shade, a shimmery light beige. I lined top lash line closely with Estee Lauder Artist’s Eye Pencil in Softsmudge Brown. I curled lashes and applied a few coats of Mally Volumizing Mascara to top lashes only.
LIPS: Lips are boldly orange. Directly from the tube, I applied Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren, a perfect 50’s bold orange with a satin finish. With a lip brush, I applied Milani Buzz Worthy Lip Gloss in Bee Have, a clear shade that is different from the one pictured below. I applied this gloss to the center of the bottom lip and blended outward.
I love how this makeup look makes blue eyes really stand out.
Now to a fragrance. I can’t help it. This look just demands the polished casualness of Estee Lauder White Linen. Love that stuff.
*It has been a hectic week. One of those that is stressful for no good reason. I hope that the weekend will be better. It looks like it will be a cloudy one but not super hot. I know you East Coasters are suffering. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
