OK, so this picture is enhanced with color. I don’t care. Wendy Barrie looks adorable in her red polka dot dress and rich red lips. This is such a pretty dolly girl look. So, here’ s my interpretation of this 1930’s look:
FACE: The complexion is porcelain and perfect. I covered up imperfections with MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20 using my Bobbi Brown Concealer Brush. With the sponge include, I applied Lancôme Dual Finish in Matte Ecru wet for full coverage. Wendy’s blush is clownish but it is a photo-rouged pic. With a blush brush, I applied a generous amount of Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Heather Silk, a matte berry.
EYES: I filled in brows with Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Natural Blonde. With a fluffy shadow brush, I applied Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Positive, a light matte beige. From lash line to crease, I applied Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Ciel du Soir, a matte medium gray smoke. I lined top and bottom lash line with NARS Eye Liner Pencil in London, a matte gray. With a blending brush, I applied a little bit of NYX Single Eye Shadow in Peach, a shimmery medium peach, above the crease. I curled lashes and applied a few coats of Hourglass Film Noir Mascara (not pictured). I then applied a strip of Ardell Lashes cut in half.
LIPS: Lips are bold. I lined my lip line with Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Wine. Directly from the tube, I applied Estee Lauder Hydra Lustre Lipstick in Black Cherry, a deepened cherry red-wine with a moist finish.
Have a wonderful weekend!
