The Lipstick League – week of 12.26.11

Happy New Year! Wishing only the best in 2012!

Question of the Week: – Is there a product you discovered in 2011 that has now achieved Holy Grail status? If so, what is it? If not, are you optimistic about any new 2012 releases?

EauMG’s Answer: No real Holy Grails for me in the makeup department. I rediscovered some lovely red lipsticks and I’m still searching for the HG mascara. However, there were some great perfume launches. Check out my best of 2012. I did find a great product from Aftelier, the Body Oil and Hair Elixirs. These all natural oils come in amazing fragrances and leave my hair looking so healthy and shiny that random people compliment me on my hair’s “health”. So, yeah, that’s a Holy Grail product. In 2012, I hope for many more beautiful fragrance launches. I hope that mainstream gets more innovative and that niche stops playing it so safe and that naturals keep doing what they’re doing. This can happy, right?

Gouldylox Reviews – Check out the one product that gave me a shot at having nice nails. This is great for everyone and polish removal is so easy, every nail blogger needs one of these, now.

Prime Beauty – tests drives the Spring 2012 Chanel Harmonie de Printemps collection. See if you agree with her observations.

Phyrra – loves tarte lipsurgence lip tints! Find out why.

Beauty Junkies Unite – Amber has CRAZY love for all 10 brand new Maybelline EyeStudio 24HR Color Tattoo eyeshadows! See why!

Clumps of Mascara – has crazy brows and only knows of one way to tackle them.

EauMG – Clinique celebrates the 40th birthday of Aromatics Elixir. And the anniversary blend proves that most things get better with age.

  1. Tha Clarins stick concealers have achieved HG status for me and so have their refoermulated blushes.
I am also liking Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks a lot.

    Happy 2012!

    1. I need a Clarins stick concealer for travel. And their blushes are amazing.

I haven’t tried the Chanel Velvet lipsticks…yet. There are even more cosmetic launches than fragrance. I can’t keep up!
