A Midsummer Night’s Dream Perfume Event – Act II
A Midsummer’s Night Dream Perfume Event – Fare Thee Well, Nymph by Blossoming Tree
Fare Thee Well, Nymph, let’s call it Fare Thee for short, is inspired by the character Helena, an insecure young lady that becomes a confident woman because in the end she gets what she wants. It’s a man, but we don’t have to go there. I’m here to discuss perfume.

Up In Smoke: EauMG Makes Khyphi Incense
About a month ago, I reviewed DSH Perfumes Cardamom & Khyphi perfume. This sparked my interest in khyphi or kyphi. I couldn’t find any mass produced kyphi but I did find numerous recipes. I found a recipe on-line, on Green Chi Café. Could incense really be this simple to make? Having 90% of the ingredients already stored away in apothecary jars, I decided to give it a try.
About me: I never use recipes… Continue reading | 14 Comments

Bois 1920 Sushi Imperiale EDT Fragrance Review
Since 2005, I’ve ignored Bois 1920 Sushi Imperiale. I got all upset once I started reading reviews that said it wasn’t a gingery, green sushi-inspired perfume with cold, salty white rice. I’m so literal; I know! At the time, I lived in an area that didn’t carry Bois 1920. I sure wasn’t going to order a sample of this spicy, comfort scent. It wouldn’t of appealed to me at that time anyways. Well, times have changed and it’s almost 2011. It’s cold and rainy… Continue reading | 10 Comments

Kitschy Cool: Old Spice Classic Body Wash Review

Weekly Cheap Secret:
Oh, Old Spice. I know it is low-brow but I really do enjoy its scent. Every fall/winter, I purchase a bottle of Classic Old Spice Body Wash. (Let me emphasize Classic here, those other varieties can go to hell. I thought Axe already had that market covered). This is an inexpensive fix for my need for spicy scents when the temperature drops. I like spicy scents but I usually don’t want to smell like them all day or I only crave them for a short time. That’s why I… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Parfums des Beaux Arts by DSH Epices d’Hiver Parfum Review
This is an all natural fragrance that is in Parfums des Beaux Arts by DSH “Gaia Perfume Collection”. This is as the name applies, a spicy fragrance. I really do like spicy fragrances but I think I have “low-brow” spicy fragrance tastes. I seem to always use Old Spice as my spice fragrance point of reference. Well, Èpices d’Hiver is spicy and citrusy like Old Spice but much more high-brow. At first it is a wonderful winter citrus explosion. You can smell bitter oranges, blood oranges, perfumey bergamot, and grapefruit. It… Continue reading | 4 Comments
