  • Garden Fresh: A Tomato Fragrance Guide

    Date: 2010.07.29 | Category: fragrance | Response: 5

This has been the first year I’ve ever had a garden (first year as a homeowner too). I love having fresh herbs and I barely have to tend to them. Fresh herbs are a little luxury that I do not want to give up. So, far I have only had squash be successful, the other veggies are trailing way behind. However, it looks like I am going to have at least 3,000 cherry tomatoes one day. I went nuts planting them from seed and what do you know?… Continue reading | 5 Comments

  • A Honeysuckle Fragrance Collage

    Date: 2010.01.24 | Category: fragrance | Response: 2

I love the scent of honeysuckle. It’s such a nostalgic scent for me. What I have realized after I moved across the country, is that honeysuckle isn’t the same. It appears to vary from region to region. In our back yard here in the PNW, we have these orange honeysuckle blossoms. The blossoms smell jasmine-ish and sweet, but they are far less sweeter and honey-ish than the white ones that I grew up with in the South. I’ve tried to keep an open mind to the different honeysuckle based fragrances… Continue reading | 2 Comments

  • Ligne St.Barth Vanille (Vanilla) Body Lotion Review

Date: 2010.01.14 | Category: body products, fragrance | Response: 2

I apologize ab out not updating my blog. I’ve been sick and really in no place to trust my sniffer. I’m feeling better and I’m trying to catch up.

Ligne St. Barth Vanilla Body Lotion is really a product for the vanilla lover. This is more of an “oceanic” vanilla. It is sweet and tropical with hints of salt water. This is definitely a vanilla scent. It’s sweet but not as sweet as other vanilla scents on the market that are trying to resemble baked goods. This is a nice tropical vanilla. It reminds… Continue reading | 2 Comments

  • Demeter PMU Cologne Whiskey Tobacco Fragrance Review

    Date: 2009.12.16 | Category: fragrance | Response: 1

This isn’t a fragrance that I would wear to work, because I don’t want anybody thinking I’ve been smoking a pipe in my little “speech studio”.  But, I do love this fragrance. I love the sweetness of whiskey tobacco. This cologne smells like the real deal. Demeter’s website describes it as tobacco smoke and whiskey. I don’t pick up on any smokiness. This to me smells just like if you opened a jar of whiskey “flavored” pipe tobacco at a cigar shop. This is sweet, warm, and best described as masculine. It is… Continue reading | 1 Comment

  • Parfums des Beaux Arts by DSH Tubereuse EDP Perfume Review

    Date: 2009.09.17 | Category: fragrance | Response: 2

If you are a tuberose lover then you will love Tubereuse. If you hate tuberose then you will hate this fragrance. This is a “true” tuberose blend, a real soliflore. Tuberose is the star of this fragrance. I love tuberose so I love this. Plus, the husband is a sucker for the scent and I’ll have to save this one for him. It will definitely make him take Frink the Frug outside, even in the PNW rain. Notes listed include: citron accord, mimosa, tuberosa, tuberose accord, French beeswax, heliotrope, Himalayan cedar
