i Profumi di Firenze Limone di Sicilia

When life hands you lemons…you make a niche perfume. Or at least that is what i Profumi di Firenze did.

If you want a fragrance that smells exactly like Lemonheads, here you go. I don’t mean this in a negative way. Hey, even Lemonheads have real lemon juice in them! Limone di Sicilia smells sour but a little sweet just like lemon candies. However, with time Limone di Sicilia intensifies and really does remind me EXACTLY of lemon peel. And… Continue reading | 8 Comments

Olo Portland Violet/Leather Perfume Oil Review

A couple weeks ago, I visited Knows Perfume in West Seattle. It was awesome, but I’ll save my post for them another day… I was familiar with all of the luxury and niche lines carried there…so I thought. On a shelf, glimmering back at me, I saw plain and simple bottles of oil labeled “ORO Portland”. Hmmm…never heard of this one before. Actually, I thought that Portland General Store changed their label to something more Deco. Nope. After asking… Continue reading | 19 Comments

  • Etat Libre d’Orange Fat Electrician EDP Perfume Review

    Date: 2010.12.20 | Category: fragrance | Response: 5

You can do your own reading of the ridiculous back story/inspiration of Etat Libre d’Orange Fat Electrician on Now Smell This and Blogdorf Goodman. It’s a “modern vetiver” loosely based on “Midnight Cowboy”, that’s all the back story I’m giving. Etat Libre d’Orange irritates me with their names and inspirations, well, most of the time. It takes me years to get over the trying-ever-so-hard to be clever antics, eventually I try their fragrances. I still do not own a full-size bottle of any of their juices, but… Continue reading | 5 Comments

  • Annick Goutal Musc Nomade EDP Fragrance Review

    Date: 2010.11.29 | Category: fragrance | Response: 12

This is the 4th essence in the Les Orientalistes collection. This Annick Goutal collection is inspired by musk and rose loving Qatar princesses, an “Orientalist” collection. The cool thing about this scent is that it lacks “top notes”. It also doesn’t get its muskiness from direct animal sources. Lately, I’ve been smitten by musky ambrette seed and other “musk” plant sources. I’ve been craving “soft” scents. Musc Nomade is the ultimate soft musk scent. It is my favorite “soft musk” perfume.

Musc Goutal is beautiful. Throughout the wear it smells… Continue reading | 12 Comments

Balm Balm Organic EDPUK brand, Balm Balm, relaunched their 7 varieties of organic single note perfumes. Why the relaunch? Because Balm Balm is now bigger and better. Each organic perfume can be… Continue reading | 1 Comment
