House of Matriarch Albatross EDP Perfume Review

House of Matriarch Albatross

If you haven’t already noticed, Pacific Northwest based perfume line, House of Matriarch, has rebranded their line and extended their distribution to the Seattle-based department store, Nordstrom. This is huge! More and more retailers understand that many of us want more interesting options! At first,  I was a little skeptical because I thought that the formulas would have been compromised. But, they haven’t. I’ve sampled them all and the brand is better now than ever.

Lavender Land – Sequim Lavender Festival 2011

Sequim Lavender Festival 2011

Breathe it in…

Last weekend, I headed on out to the Sequim Lavender Festival. Sequim is about an hour from where I live (crazy geography, looks closer on a map). I often forget that I live in a beautiful place. How easily we get spoiled! I remember when I first moved here how novel it was that I could grow lavender without taking care of it…and without killing it!

Alaska Glacial Mud Co. Mineral Mud Masque Review

Alaska Glacial Mud Mask Review

Alaska Glacial Mud Co. Mineral Mud Masque is a detoxifying, moisturizing, and exfoliating mask made from mineral rich glacial clay from the Copper River Delta in Cordova, Alaska. The masks also contain wild-crafted botanicals from the totally awesome Pacific Northwest 🙂

Juniper Ridge Siskiyou Cedar Soap Review

I’ve fallen hard for the Juniper Ridge line. This makes sense since I love woodsy and evergreen fragrances. And…Juniper Ridge is a West Coast brand with products scented from the lovely forests that we have here. Being that I split my free time between fragrance boutiques and the woods, it would make sense that I would love this brand.

Juniper Ridge Siskiyou Cedar is scented with Port Orford Cedar that grows in the Klamath Region. Port Orford Cedar is really unique because it smells like… Continue reading | 10 Comments

Pacifica Mediterranean Fig Solid Perfume Review

I love a fig fragrance. They are what I “collect”. Sometimes I find myself purchasing less-than-perfect-figs just because I can’t help it. And I love a fig fragrance that actually smells wonderful and retails for under $10. So, what I am saying is that I love Pacifica Mediterranean Fig Solid Perfume. It is a must have for the fig lover. And even a must have for those wanting a simple scent. I see why this is one of Pacifica’s #1 sellers.

The tin is adorable. I love the almost Marimekko… Continue reading | 2 Comments
