Chloe Love Story Perfume Review

Chloe Love Story

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Throughout the years, there have been Chloé perfumes I’ve enjoyed wearing (like the powdery Love, Chloé). I’ve thought that the brand has done a good job of matching fragrances to their image. This French fashion house has been around for ages and now leans more “rich, young California socialite” than it used to. Their more recent fragrances seem to reflect this but I feel like Love Story really strayed from what I think of Chloé as a fashion house… Continue reading | 2 Comments

Elizabeth & James Nirvana Bourbon EDP Perfume Review

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

When the fashion label Elizabeth & James launched Nirvana Bourbon and Nirvana Rose, I knew that Nirvana Bourbon would be a hit for them. Vanilla fragrances are popular because their smooth, sweetness seems to appeal to everyone¹. After trying Nirvana Bourbon, I was impressed. It’s a dry, boozy vanilla that differs from the usual sweet/candied designer/mainstream vanillas. Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb EDT Fragrance Review

Viktor Rolf Spicebomb

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume

Today I’m going to review a fragrance who’s packaging has probably put more people in detention than anything else: Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb. Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium EDP Perfume Review

YSL Black Opium

Mainstream Monday: Sniffing a Popular Perfume

It feels so cliché to be another perfume blogger that complains about a flanker of a classic perfume that’s geared to young’uns, but I can’t help it. I went in with an open mind when I sampled Black Opium. I *knew* it wouldn’t resemble the original Opium in any shape way or form. I had a feeling it’d be another sweet fragrance with a patchouli base – the mainstream “noir” recipe. Keep in mind, I love Mugler Angel

Givenchy Very Irresistible EDT Perfume Review

Givenchy Very Irresistible Perfume

Mainstream Monday – Sniffing a Popular Perfume (ROSE WEEK 2017 EDITION)

It’s Rose Week on EauMG! This is the annual celebration of rose-centric perfumes! This week I’m reviewing 6 fragrances that display a different aspect of rose perfumes.

I’m kicking off the week with a designer rose perfume. I’m not a perfume snob and most of the perfumes in my rotation are boring, mainstream designer perfumes. This doesn’t mean that I’m free of designer perfume complaints. One of my issues is that it… Continue reading | 20 Comments
