    Luckyscent Untitled Perfumes 2011

Thanks to last Friday’s #fumechat, I am now interested in three new limited edition perfumes at Luckyscent. Untitled is a collaboration between niche perfumers and the shop, Luckyscent. These bottles are limited edition and quanity. There are only 100 bottles of each formula.

#08 Untitled by Bren Leonesio - Brent is the perfumer behind the brand, Smell Bent. Oh, how I want to try this blend of feral, dirty notes: narcissus, civet, fur, tobacco, feral musk, oud, and… Continue reading | 10 Comments

  • Garden Fresh: A Tomato Fragrance Guide

    Date: 2010.07.29 | Category: fragrance | Response: 5

This has been the first year I’ve ever had a garden (first year as a homeowner too). I love having fresh herbs and I barely have to tend to them. Fresh herbs are a little luxury that I do not want to give up. So, far I have only had squash be successful, the other veggies are trailing way behind. However, it looks like I am going to have at least 3,000 cherry tomatoes one day. I went nuts planting them from seed and what do you know?… Continue reading | 5 Comments

  • April Fool’s: Annick Goutal Folavril EDT Fragrance Review

    Date: 2010.04.01 | Category: fragrance | Response: 4

Annick Goutal Folavril (April’s Fool) is not a sexy or flirty fragrance. It doesn’t have an inkling of seduction in it. It smells nice without smelling “bat those lashes” flirty or vavavoom seductive. It’s fresh but still very feminine. I like to think of it as shabby chic… Continue reading | 4 Comments

Parfums des Beaux Arts by DSH Cafe Noir is a moody, rich fragrance. I love it. I call it “beatnik in a bottle”. It’s smart and sophisticated and a bit counter-culture (if a perfume can be described as such). It reminds me of a classic French perfume created for the kind of gal that spends late nights/early mornings reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti by the fireplace, sipping on midnight black coffee.

DSH describes this spicy oriental luxury perfume as “a Paris night…Dark and sophisticated, it evokes late concerts in smoke filled rooms…sipping coffee

  • A Cheery Cherry Fragrance Guide

I can’t wear cherry fragrances because my husband says that I smell like a urinal cake if I do. Since I spend no time in a men’s restroom, I can’t contest. I just have to take his word for it. Fortunately, you don’t just have to smell like a cherry jolly rancher when it comes to cherry. There are many cherry blends and cherry blossom fragrances on the market. I’ve made a list of cherry fruit and cherry blossom fragrances in many price points.
