More 1960′s Fashion: Get the Makeup Look of Marina Vlady

I will never grow bored of a red lip. It’s instant “polished” in a tube. Marina’s look is so effortless French
.It’s all about the lips. A quick swipe of red lipstick took a very basic makeup look and made Marina glam. Here’s the colors I used to create a similar 60′s era (I think) Marina look:FACE: Skin is even and slightly dewy. I applied with a cosmetic sponge, Lancôme Absolue Makeup in Ecru 10. Use a “dewy” finish foundation. Under the eyes I dabbed Almay Line Smoothing Concealer in Light and blended with fingertips to cover dark, allergy related under eye circles. To set foundation, I brushed on Lancôme Color Ideal Pressed Powder in Medium 10. To highlight my complexion, I used Benefit High Beam, a pink illuminating cream. I blended this shade on my cheek bones and down my nose. On my cheeks, brushing upwards with the brush provided, I applied Benefit Dandelion, a sheer pink shimmer.
EYES: Brows are well manicured. I filled in brows with Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Natural Blonde. I set my stubborn brows with Shiseido Translucent Eyeshaper. Eye makeup is very minimal. From lash line to crease, I applied Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Latte, a light, matte cream, with a large shadow brush. From lash line to crease, I applied Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Mochaccino, a medium neutral brown with light shimmer, with a shadow brush. To create fullness at the lash line, I applied Clarins Eye Liner Pencil in Brown to the top lash line. I curled lashes and applied a few coats of Rimmel Volume Flash Mousse Mascara in Black/Brown to top lashes and one coat to bottom lashes. Thick lashes will not need to apply mascara to bottom lashes.
LIPS: To the lips…this is what makes the look. Call me old-fashioned, but I line my lips with a red lip liner when I wear red lipstick. I lined my lip line with Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Red Dynamite. I applied directly from the tube a red shimmer, Milani Color Perfect Lipstick in Scarlet.
The joy about this look is that I timed myself and it took me less than 8 minutes to apply my makeup.
It’s really difficult to pick a fragrance for this look. Marina is wearing black and wearing red lipstick. I have to lean to something that I see as a classic and that is 10 Corso Como EDP, an amazing woodsy-floral fragrance.
