In case you didn’t know, last month I went to Budapest on a vacation. We had a great time looking at architecture and drinking wine. But, you know me. I’m obsessed with skincare (and everything else). So, of course I took the time to check out drugstores and beauty stores. I’m embarrassed to even post what I bought because I went crazy. I blame the fact that my hotel was next to a DM Drogerie (one of my favorite stores).
Thesis Beauty is an indie line of natural skincare and body products based in Massachusetts. They sent this rose lover three products to try:
Body Scrub in Rose Vanilla Sorbet
This is a salt scrub in a thick oil and butter base. It claims to be so moisturizing that most people don’t need to follow-up with creams/oils.
I posted my Favorite Sunscreens for the Face. I wear sunscreen every day. Saying that, I don’t wear sunscreen on my body daily because most of the year, my body is not exposed. I mostly wear sunscreens for the body in the summer or if I travel to a warmer climate. I do try to wear sunscreen on my hands every day. So, my needs and requirements are different for a body sunscreen than a daily face sunscreen.
I use body scrubs all year long, but I do find myself using them more in the summer when more of my skin is exposed to the world.
Simply Scrub is a line of all-natural, organic body scrubs that currently has four formulas. Unlike many products that are the same formula with a different fragrance, each of these are completely different.
The theme for the February Boxwalla* Beauty Box was beauty products to help you channel your inner Cleopatra. That statement alone was enough for me to want to try this box. This time of year is dull and fills me with the blahs. If it weren’t for pampering products and rituals like warm baths, I know I’d be feeling even more “blah”. In February, a Cleopatra-inspired routine of milk baths, rose petals and honey sounds perfect.
Here’s what’s in it – SPOILER:
