Atelier Cologne Oolang Infni EDT Perfume Review

Atelier Oolong Infini

Tea scents and I usually don’t mix. So many of them go all plastic-y on me. Atelier Cologne Oolong Infini doesn’t.

Oolang Infni opens with a blast of black pepper and Earl Grey tea. It’s pepper with tons of bergamot, very zesty. There’s a little bit of smokiness. It’s caravan tea smokiness. But, mainly I get pepper, bergamot and neroli. Oolang Infini is fresher than it is smoky. The dry-down is lots of white musk and some smoky vetiver on me.

Notes listed include bergamot, neroli, oolong tea, jasmine petals, blond leather, tobacco flower, gaiac wood, and Haitian vetiver. Launch date 2010. PERFUMER – Jérome Epinette

Give Oolang Infini a try if you are looking for a tea fragrance. Or if you like perfumes like Diptyque Eau Duelle, Jo Malone London Assam & Grapefruit, HEELEY St. Clement’s, Burberry the Beat EDT for Women, and/or CdG PLAY Black. Oolang Infini is unisex.

Oolang Infini has average projection and longevity. Cologne is in the name but it does not have the concentration of a cologne.

Atlier Oolang Infini comes in 2 sizes (1 oz and 6.7 oz) with prices ranging from $65-$170 at Beauty.com.

Victoria’s Final EauPINIONBlack tea and earl gray tea – “fresh” smoke. I’m not a fan of tea scents but this is one to try if you are looking for a black tea perfume.

    • I love that they come in 1 oz bottles since that is all I ever want of a perfume. Like I said, I usually dislike tea scents because they go “plastic” on my skin, but this one doesn’t. I didn’t expect to like it but I do.

  1. Now, I always feel I should own a tea scent as I love the smell of the stuff.
If someone were to make my beloved oolong orange blossom tea into a wearable perfume that would set my world alight, but this does have me interested.
One to try though I would imagine as tea scents can be so different on the skin – always seeming as though they want to be back in the pot to me!

    • So many tea scents are just bergamot or they smell like citrus plastic. I often test them and have immediate regrets.

I had a chance to smell a natural black tea from Robertet a few weeks ago. Amazing. It was everything I wanted in a tea perfume but this was a single note! Now we just need to talk someone into pairing with orange blossom for something heavenly…
