1960′s Fashion – Get the Makeup Look of Claudine Auger
OK, I’m so out of practice and I’m trying to get back in the swing of things. Here’s a look inspired by the beautiful Bond Girl, Claudine Auger.
FACE: Under the eyes with a concealer brush, I applied e.l.f. All Over Cover Stick in Apricot Beige. With a kabuki brush, I applied Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation in Classic Ivory. I applied a small amount of Clarins Blush Prodige in Rosewood, a neutral shade, to the cheeks with a blush brush.
EYES: I filled in my brows Benefit Cosmetics Instant Brow in Medium. Also use this pencil to create a beauty mark
For the eyeshadow I’m using Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Set in Comfort Zone. I applied the dark chocolate shade on the lid. In the crease, I blended the medium brown. Under the brows, I applied the light champagne shimmer. I lined the top lash line with Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Demolition, a black/brown. I lined the bottom lash line 3/4 of the way and not on the water line. I curled lashes and applied Dior Diorshow Extase in Black (not pictured, but it’s my new favorite mascara) to top and bottom lashes. I applied Ardell DuraLashes.LIPS: I applied Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bare Sparkle directly from the tube.
Now for a fragrance, I chose Estee Lauder Private Collection.
Overall, I like this look in “real life”. Obviously, I’m much paler than Claudine and look like a ghost in comparison to her. This look is nice for a glam-natural look that really is an under-played 1960′s bombshell look. The colors in that Wet n Wild Kit are really pretty. If you have the coloring of Claudine Auger here, you need this eyeshadow kit.
What are your plans this weekend? I’m told that I could go hiking. Honestly, I don’t know if I feel like doing that. It’s been an exhausting week. I’d rather get in some retail therapy. And my bangs need trimmed badly. Somebody hide the scissors from me. I predict that after a few glasses of wine that I’ll have the confidence to mess up these bangs myself.
